Carolina Heredia brings the influence of her South American roots to compositions such as Auscensias. Chamber works like this as well as Lus in Bello and Virginia for SATB Choir earned the Argentinian native one of highly coveted Resident Composer spots for this year's Mizzou International Composers Festival. Classical 90.5's Trevor Harris visited with Heredia for a recent episode of Mizzou Music.

MU School of Music

The Mizzou International Composers Festival is less than two months away. In the run-up to the 2017 edition of the festival, Mizzou Music will feature interviews with the festival's resident and guest composers. MU graduate student Henry Stewart was the featured composer on the May 24 episode of Mizzou Music.
