This week on Mizzou Music we were joined by the Director of the MU School of Music, Dr. Julia Gaines. She came by to tell us about how the school is adapting to current guidelines and also about the new Monday Mashups, a series of streaming concerts put on by the School of Music.

On this week’s Mizzou Music, we are joined by Dr. Julia Gaines. She stopped by our studio to tell us about some of the amazing performances coming up this semester at Mizzou.

Students everywhere are busy wrapping up their fall semester. The current semester has been an especially busy one for scholars and faculty in the MU School of Music. The director of the school, Julia Gaines, was a guest on Mizozu Music recently. She recalled highlights from the current semester.

The new Assistant Professor of Orchestra in the MU School of Music is no stranger that program. Barry Ford earlier earned his masters from the institution for which he now works. On a recent episode of Mizzou Music, the Ford visited with Classical 90.5 host Trevor Harris about his memories of and mentors at MU, his conducting favorites and his upcoming work leading the University Philharmonic.

Dr. Julia Gaines visited with Trevor Harris about the successes and challenges of the past school year. Gaines is the director of the School of Music at the University of Missouri.
