Mizzou Music: Vocal faculty recital and winter guitar tour

A pair of voice faculty at MU were guests on Mizzou Music recently. Julia Bentley and Stephen Jepson talked about their vocal team who prepare young singers for life after graduation. Also on this week's show Anthony Glise talked about the MU Honors Guitar Quartet's winter tour and Megan Arns gave a preview of the MU percussionists semester.

On Mizzou Music recently, MU guitar faculty Anthony Glise discussed his guitar studio at MU on the cusp of the MU Honors Guitar Quartet's northwest Missouri winter tour.

MU School of Music percussion faculty Megan Arns led the MU Percussion Ensemble to last week's Missouri Music Educators Association Conference. She discussed the importance of the conference for reconnecting with one's musical lineage and the networking opportunities.

Trevor serves as KBIA’s weekday morning host for classical music. He has been involved with local radio since 1990, when he began volunteering as a music and news programmer at KOPN, Columbia's community radio station. Before joining KBIA, Trevor studied social work at Mizzou and earned a masters degree in geography at the University of Alabama. He has worked in community development and in urban and bicycle/pedestrian planning, and recently served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia with his wife, Lisa Groshong. An avid bicycle commuter and jazz fan, Trevor has cycled as far as Colorado and pawed through record bins in three continents.
